Randy Richardson

Hi all, I just posted this on FB, but wanted to share it here as well, in case some of you are like me and don't really use FB.... I'll post an update here as soon as I know more.
My dear friend Randy Richardson passed away overnight Friday. I met Randy about a dozen years ago, coaching for the travel FH club Katahdin. Apparently Randy had taken a break from coaching for the club, but he came back when his kids began to play for it. I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to get to know Randy as well as have the chance to coach and watch both of his children grow up to become wonderful humans whom I can now call friends. The Richardson family is one of the kindest I have ever and probably will ever know. His son Nick called to tell me the sad news on Saturday morning, and I am just devastated for the family, and anyone else who knew him, as Randy has touched so many lives and I’m sure enriched them all. He was already sorely missed when he and his wife moved to England two years ago. We were so sad to see him go, as our FH community was left with a deep void after his departure. But looking back, I thank goodness that we were given the chance to acknowledge him and how we felt about him while he was still with us. Nick will let me know about services, and I’ll share that information with the FH world on the website, as FB isn’t really my thing. Thanks for reading this, as I process my own grief for such a wonderful man and friend.
Nick asked the following of those of you who knew and loved Randy: hold onto memories as we will make a Gmail for people to write to if they want to share stories, thoughts or prayers with mum, Meg or myself.
